We build things for clients. Websites, AI agents, marketing systems. That’s the business. But we also build things because they need to exist.

What Is OpenEdu?
OpenEdu is an open-source, AI-powered education platform. Not a course platform. Not a tutoring marketplace. Something different.
The short version: an AI that teaches you any subject through a real, structured curriculum — not a chatbot you ask random questions to, but an actual learning system with levels, topics, mastery progression, and promotion tests. You work through it. You get tested. You move up when you’ve earned it.
The AI that builds your curriculum is capable. The AI that teaches you is patient, available, and adapts to how you specifically learn — not how the average student learns. That distinction matters.
Why We’re Building This
A human tutor costs $40–$100 an hour. They’re not available at midnight when you actually want to study. They can’t teach every subject. They have off days.
The same session with a frontier AI model costs cents in API usage. It doesn’t get impatient. It doesn’t have a packed schedule. It gives you its full attention every time.
The quality of someone’s education still depends enormously on what country they’re in, what they can afford, and who they happen to know. We think that gap is closable. Not with a YouTube playlist — with something that actually meets you where you are and tracks where you’re going.
What’s Coming
We’re not ready to show everything yet. There’s a lot of work left, and we want to get it right before the doors open.
What we can say:
- It runs as a desktop app — Windows first, Mac and Linux coming
- Supports multiple AI providers — bring your own API key
- Ollama support for local inference
- The curriculum structure is real, not random chat
- Open-source — the code will be on GitHub
