Terms of Service
These terms are between you and TerraByte Solutions LLC. "I" means Tate, who does the work. They cover paid sessions, coaching, software and website builds, and support.
Services
I offer paid consulting sessions, coaching for people building with AI tools, custom software, websites, and Missed-Call Text-Back. A paid session has a fixed price that I confirm in writing before the session. Everything else is scoped and priced in a written quote before any work begins.
Paid sessions
This section covers the working session described on the consulting page, and the first session of coaching.
What is delivered
A consulting session is one call of 75 minutes with me, one on one, followed by a written verdict and roadmap. I email the verdict within 2 business days of the session. It says whether what you described is feasible, feasible with changes, or not feasible as asked. It names the main pieces of the build, the risks I would check first, and a recommended next step.
A coaching session is one call of the same length, spent inside your project. It is followed by a short written summary of what we found and what to do next.
What a session is not
The verdict is my professional opinion, based on what you told me and showed me in the session. It is not a quote, a fixed price for a build, or a promise that a build will succeed. It is not legal, financial or tax advice. What you do with it is your decision.
Price and payment
The price of a session is fixed. I confirm it in writing before the session, and you pay in full before it starts. The free intro call costs nothing and carries no obligation.
Rescheduling
You can move a session to another time up to 24 hours before it starts, using the link in your booking confirmation. If you give less notice than that, or you miss the session, email me. I will try to find a new time, but I cannot promise one, and the fee is not refunded.
If I cancel
If I have to cancel or move a session, I will offer you a new time. If none of the times I offer work for you, I refund the session fee in full.
Refunds
If you cancel at least 24 hours before a session starts, you can choose a new time or a full refund. Once a session has taken place, the fee is not refundable. The one exception is the written verdict. If I have not sent it within the time stated above, email me, and I will send it or refund the session fee in full, whichever you choose.
Fee credit toward a build
If you accept a written quote from me for a build that covers what we discussed, and you accept it within 90 days of your session, I take the session fee off that quote in full. It appears on the quote as its own line.
One session fee is credited per build. The credit has no cash value, cannot be passed to someone else, and does not apply to quotes accepted after the 90 days have passed.
Software engagements
This section covers custom software, websites, and any other build I do for you.
Quoted in writing
No build starts until you have accepted a written quote. The quote lists what gets built, what does not, the milestones, and the price. If you ask for something outside the quote, I price that change in writing before I do it.
Payment
Payment terms are set in the quote and tied to its milestones. A typical structure is a deposit before work starts, with the rest due as each milestone is delivered.
Ownership
You own what I build for you. The repository, hosting, domains and other service accounts are opened in your name, so you hold them from the first day. If an engagement ends early, you keep everything delivered so far and you pay for the work completed.
Two things stay as they are. Open source and third party components keep their own licenses. I also keep the right to reuse general methods and know-how that are not specific to your project.
Support
Monthly support plans are billed month to month with no long term commitment, and you can cancel at any time. Support covers maintenance, updates, fixes and minor changes as described in your service agreement.
Liability
TerraByte Solutions LLC is not liable for damages beyond the amount you paid for the specific service in question. I build and deploy systems to the best of my ability, but I cannot guarantee specific business outcomes, search rankings or revenue.
Ending an engagement
Either of us can end a working relationship at any time. If you cancel in the middle of a project, you pay for the work completed. If I cancel, I refund any payment for work I have not delivered.
